During these 5 years of Research and Development, ICARE Technologies has filed more than 25 international patents to protect the numerous innovations developed for Aeklys.

Both technological and practical, they concern the functionalities of the application, the safety and performance of the Aeklys rings, the design of its antenna and its electronic circuit, the Wave Control® sensor, the assembly method and the integration of a rupture zone.

Resistance test


Numerous tests have been carried out at the Laboratoire National de Métrologie et d'Essais to validate the waterproofness and resistance of Aeklys by Starck.

All these tests were passed with success. Among others, Aeklys by Starck has been certified IP 57 (dust and waterproof) and its Wave Control® sensor has resisted endurance tests with more than 500,000 activations without degradation.
